Hello everyone!
Next weekend is the Equality Ball!
And the Center for Equality wants the GSAs to be involved.
We’ll be kind of volunteering / kind of attending the event.
What I’ve been told is that we will help Saturday morning to set up things (make masks and decorations and whatnot) and then during the event its self we will just kind of monitor the area and make sure things stay tidy. Nothing to strenuous so they are encouraging us to dress up for the event (however you dress up for a mascarade ball). And then we might be helping clean out the following day.
Right now the details are a little unclear, and I will have more information for you later in the week. But it’s a great opportunity to help out with a fundraiser for a great cause!
IF VOLUNTEERING AND ATTENDING THIS EVENT INTERESTS YOU, YOU NEED TO SEND ME A MESSAGE ASAP.
The spots will probably be limited. I don’t know yet. I just need a sort of estimate of the group. I know I can’t guarantee a spot for you, but if you send me a message please be willing to follow through when the time comes.
ALSO: If you are a part of NHS, I’m going to ask and see if volunteering for this can count towards your hours. (Not making any promises, but I know that may interest some of you)
